Get Ready for Brexit

Do you sell products with CE markings? Check if you need to change your conformity assessment or conformity marking to sell your CE marked goods in the UK or EU

In most cases you should be able to continue using the CE marking in the EU and UK. Recommended you act on this as a matter of urgency

Will you be exporting goods? Check if you need to appoint a representative in the EU, and label your goods with your EU importer’s details

If you do not meet the requirements, you may not be able to export goods to the EU.

Do you handle, and will you continue to handle personal information from the EU after Brexit?

Recommend obtaining information from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) website as you will not be able to process personal information from the EU without the right contract and permissions

Does your business provide on demand or video broadcasting services in the UK or EU?

You may not be able to provide on demand services

Do you own a Website that sells plants?

The plants or plant products may be delayed or rejected if you do not follow the right rules. Recommend going to gov.uk and reading changes and rules on importing and exporting plants after Brexit

Do you sell food products that you plan to sell and ship in EU?

You will need to register as an approved food establishment to export to the EU. If you do not you wont be able to ship to EU

Do you sell food products in the UK or EU?

You may not be able to sell goods in the EU if they’re labelled incorrectly. Seek guidance on food labeling changes after Brexit

Do you sell or supply medical devices in the UK ?

You will not be able to legally sell or supply medical devices in the UK if you do not get your business ready. Seek guidance on the regulation of medicines

Have you checked to see if you need to pay a tariff on goods you import from the EU?

Goods you sell will be held at customs if you do not pay the correct tariff.

Do you know if any wood packaging you use meets ISPM15 international standards?

You may not be able to export using wood packaging that isn’t ISPM15 certified.
